Ron Kostelnik, the former Green Bay Packers defensive tackle, recently was honored by his alma mater, Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg, Pa.
The high school retired the No. 69 Red Devils jersey of the late Kostelnik, a member of the CCSHOF Class of 1967.
Approximately 30 of Kostelnik’s family attended, including his widow, Peggy, who presented Central Cambria with a commemorative gold football as part of the National Football League’s “On the Fifty” celebration which presents the footballs to high schools of former Super Bowl players and coaches. The program is part of the Super Bowl 50 celebration.
Kostelnik was part of the Packers’ winning teams in Super Bowl I and II under coach Vince Lombardi.
