Accomplishments
- Running back/placekicker on Michigan State University’s 1952 national championship team.
- Ranks in the top-15 all-time at Michigan State University in average yards per rush at 5.42.
- Had four PATs in Michigan State’s 28-20 win over UCLA in the 1954 Rose Bowl.
- Made 55 of 63 extra-point attempts for the Spartans from 1951 through 1953.
- Was part of the “Pony Backfield” at Michigan State, along with Leroy Bolden, Billy Wells, and East Conemaugh’s Tom Yewcic.
- Selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 28th round of the 1954 National Football League draft.
- Slonac graduated from Adams Township High School.
- Won the 1948 Point Stadium Award for football based on his play for Adams Township.
