Jeff Richardson, CCSHOF Class of 1981, had a stellar career in football and wrestling at Greater Johnstown High School, was part of a national championship program at Michigan State University, where he played in the Game of the Century against Notre Dame in 1966, and eventually was part of the New York Jets Super Bowl III victory.
Richardson visited his alma mater, Greater Johnstown High School, during the 2015 football season to present a gold football as part of the National Football League’s “On the Fifty” program to celebrate Super Bowl 50.
With the big game approaching between Cam Newton’s Carolina Panthers and Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos, CCSHOF thought this is a great time to share Richardson’s homecoming story.
