Accomplishments

  • Played fullback for the United States Naval Academy from 1990 through 1993.
  • Became the starting fullback late in 1990, and his 45-yard touchdown run against Army was the longest by a Navy back that season.
  • Returned from knee surgery for the 1991 season and scored five touchdowns.
  • Best game of 1991 season was against Notre Dame – 89 yards on 22 carries.
  • Missed 1992 season after knee surgery, but returned to play 11 games in 1993, gaining 363 yards on 99 carries, with 10 TDs, as well as 17 catches for 135 yards.
  • Had 16 career touchdowns and a rushing average of 3.8 yards a carry with Navy.
  • Carried 200 times for 768 yards in 33 games with Navy.
  • Became the first Navy player to score vs. Army during a freshman game and a varsity game in the same season.
  • At Westmont Hilltop High School, earned second-team All-State honors at linebacker in 1988.
  • Hilltoppers graduate endured six knee injuries – two complete reconstructions – during his football career.
