Accomplishments

Helped create the Cambria County War Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament in 1949.
War Memorial Invitational for decades was considered among the best of its kind in the country.
War Memorial Invitational lasted into the 1990s, with Dovey serving as director for many years.
Served on the Sunnehanna Amateur Tournament for Champions committee.
