Mary Beth Sullivan Poremski says
David O’Loughlin was my father, Paul G. Sullivan’s, best friend and I grew up hearing stories of his tennis achievements as a child. He went on to become a doctor, an OB/GYN, and tragically passed away quite young, before I was born in 1959. The O’Loughlin family were lifelong friends of our family and all of David’s siblings were accomplished professionals. His eldest sister, Mary O’Loughlin, was the principal of Fifth Ave. High School in Pittsburgh and went on to become one of the first women enrolled in Duquesne University Law School. She was a classmate of my father’s there. They were truly an extraordinary family, and David’s athletic achievements reflect only part of his many accomplishments.
