Accomplishments
- East Conemaugh graduate led Towson State football program to a 117-91-3 record in 20 seasons from 1972 to 1991.
- Towson evolved from an NCAA Division III program to a NCAA Division II power, and finally NCAA Division I-AA under Albert.
- Led Towson to three Lambert-Meadowlands awards as the top Division II team in the East.
- Named Coach of the Year five times.
- Coached 28 All-Americans and four future NFL players.
- At East Conemaugh Albert was an All-State performer in both football and basketball.
- Played football at the University of Arizona in 1965-66.
- San Diego Chargers advanced game day scout in NFL from 1994 to 2001.
- Inducted into Towson University Athletic Hall of Fame.
