Accomplishments
- Played on 1930 Johnstown High team that went undefeated in regular season and lost to Williamsport in the Central Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association playoffs.
- Played at Carnegie Institute of Technology and made the varsity squad as a sophomore.
- Part of a 1933 Carnegie team that upset both Temple (28-0) and Notre Dame (7-0).
- Honorable mention selection on Walter Camp’s All-American Team and a first-team Eastern All-Star.
- Coached the Carnegie freshmen squad before joining the high school ranks at East Conemaugh in 1938.
- Coached at Southmont High, Windber High and Conemaugh Township High.
- Coached the Johnstown Clippers in the Pennsylvania Pro Football League.
- Named by the Johnstown Dapper Dan Club as 1949 Coach of the Year after Conemaugh Township went 8-1.
- Had 80 wins in 26 years at Township
- Inducted into the Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1989.
