Accomplishments

  • NCAA Division I head baseball coach at Wake Forest University; University of New Orleans and George Washington University.
  • Had 153-147 record in five seasons at New Orleans and earned consecutive NCAA Division I Tournament appearances in 2007 and 2008.
  • UNO had seven players drafted in the 2008 MLB Draft and 10 players signed pro contracts.
  • Guided New Orleans through the post-Hurrican Katrina challenges.
  • Had a 275-184 record in eight years at George Washington.
  • Took the Colonials to the 2002 NCAA Tournament and made a regional appearance.
  • Also coached in the prestigious Cape Cod League, a summer wooden bat college league.
  • Spent two seasons as assistant GM of the Class A Greensboro Bats, a New York Yankees affiliate.
  • Played at Georgetown University and started four seasons; was two-time team captain.
  • Johnstown High graduate was AAABA Tournament player and Johnstown Junior League MVP.
  • In 2011 made national news by donating one of his kidneys to an ill Wake Forest University player.
