June 11, 2017 – Pittsburgh Penguins at Nashville Predators during game six of the 2017 NHL Stanley Cup Final at the Bridgestone Arena. Pittsburgh won the game 2-0.

Dana Heinze served as an emergency goaltender for the Johnstown Chiefs in 1988-89.

Accomplishments

  • National Hockey League head equipment manager with Pittsburgh Penguins since 2006-07.
  • Part of four Stanley Cup championship teams with the Penguins (2009, 2016, 2017) and Tampa Bay Lighting (2004).
  • Worked in his 2,000th professional regular-season game in March 2018.
  • Earned a spot as equipment manager in the NHL All-Star Game.
  • Part of the Winter Classic outdoor NHL game at Heinz Field.
  • Former equipment manager with the Tampa Bay Lightning from 2000-01 through 2005-06.
  • Got his start with the Johnstown Chiefs in the East Coast Hockey League from 1988-89 through 1991-92, and again from 1995-96 through 1998-99.
  • Served as an emergency goaltender for the Chiefs in an East Coast Hockey League game.
  • Promoted to the International Hockey League Detroit Vipers in 1999-2000, one step away from Tampa Bay in the NHL.
  • Westmont Hilltop High School graduate played a significant role in helping Johnstown and Cambria County War Memorial Arena win the inaugural Kraft Hockeyville USA title in 2015.
