- Scored 100-plus points three times and had 80 or more points five other seasons.
- Part of the United States team in the 1962 World Hockey Championships in Colorado Springs.
- Coached 1963-64 United States team that toured the Soviet Union and other Iron Curtain countries during the Cold War era.
- His No. 9 jersey is one of only four retired in Johnstown hockey history.
- Played a significant role in starting a youth travel hockey program in Johnstown region by coaching a 1967 team that competed in Lake Placid, New York.
- President of the 1974-75 Johnstown Jets championship team that inspired the Paul Newman movie “Slap Shot.”
- An avid golfer, Hall has a hole dedicated in his honor at the Sunnehanna Country Club.
- Played a lead role in Johnstown and Cambria County War Memorial Arena’s successful campaign to win the inaugural Kraft Hockeyville USA title in 2015.
