Accomplishments

  • One of the top professional players in Johnstown’s storied hockey history.
  • Scored 308 career goals and collected 601 points.
  • Advanced to the NHL, playing in one game with the National Hockey League’s Detroit Red Wings.
  • Appeared in 43 games for Salt Lake in the former Western Hockey League, a rival to the NHL.
  • Captained the 1974-75 North American Hockey League champion Johnstown Jets.
  • Helped start the Bishop McCort High School hockey program and led Crushers to three of their  five state championships in the 1990s.
  • Had 134-98-9 coaching record with Bishop McCort.
  • His No. 8 Johnstown Jets jersey is retired and a banner honors Head at Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
