Accomplishments

  • A four-year letterwinner in basketball, volleyball and track and field at Northern Cambria High School, Dunchack McGuirk won four consecutive individual PIAA state championships in track and field.
  • At Dartmouth she participated in five track and field events and served as captain of the Big Green women’s team.
  • Dunchack McGuirk finished in first place in the pentathlon three straight years in the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championship event.
  • As a senior, she accumulated a total of 3,940 points during Heptagonal championships — 160 points more than the second-place finisher — and set a new Dartmouth record. She either finished first or second in four out of her five events, which included the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put and 800-meter run.
  • As a freshman at Northern Cambria High School, she earned the Underclassmen Track Award and won the PIAA championship in the high jump.
  • As a high school sophomore, she repeated as a state high jump champion.
  • During her junior season with the Colts, she again earned a gold medal in the state high jump event, whil placing seventh in long jump and eighth in the 200-meter dash.
  • As a high school senior, she became the second Pennsylvania female athlete to win four consecutive gold medals at the PIAA Track and Field Championship Meet in Shippensburg.
  • A 1,000-point scorer in girls basketball at Northern Cambria, Dunchack played on the Colts state runner-up squads in 2008 (Class 2A) and 2010 (Class 1A).
  • Senior leader on Northern Cambria’s 2009 state championship-winning girls volleyball team.
