Accomplishments

  • Served on Penn State University football coaching staff for 33 seasons.
  • Appointed Penn State interim head coach on Nov. 9, 2011, replacing long-time head coach Joe Paterno.
  • Served as Penn State’s defensive coordinator and coached the cornerbacks from 2000 through 2011.
  • Key part of two Penn State national championship teams, three Big Ten Conference title teams and 27 bowl game appearances.
  • Johnstown native and Bishop McCort High graduate was head of a Penn State defense that finished in the Top 15 nationally in total and scoring defense from 2004 to 2009.
  • Developed four All-Americans in the secondary – Kim Herring, David Macklin, James Boyd and Alan Zemaitis.
  • Served as recruiting coordinator at Penn State and brought numerous prep standouts to Penn State.
  • Played on Penn State football team from 1975-78, earning letters his final two seasons on teams that went 22-2.
  • Played in 1978 National Championship game vs. Alabama.
  • As a player, helped the Nittany Lions earn spots in the 1975 and ’79 Sugar Bowls, the 1976 Gator Bowl and the 1977 Fiesta Bowl.
  • West Virginia University hired Bradley as a senior associate head coach in 2014.
  • Bradley served as defensive coordinator at UCLA from 2014 to 2017.
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers named Bradley as defensive backfield coach in February 2018.
