The Cambria County Sports Hall of Fame’s 18th induction ceremony was a success as 200 people attended the July 12 banquet at the Pasquerilla Conference Center.

Five new inductees entered the Hall: Leah Hollis; Ed Johnston; John Kasay Sr.; Randy Mazey; and Tom McGough.

Carlton Haselrig, Class of 1990, had football added to his Hall credentials after previously being inducted for wrestling.

The AAABA Tournament received special recognition as the 70th anniversary tournament neared.

High school teams honored included: Richland girls volleyball state championship teams from 1984 spring and 1984 fall; Bishop McCort hockey state championship teams in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1999; and Forest Hills football for the Rangers’ state runner-up finish in 1994.
